NBSC President makes Courtesy Call to Manolo Fortich Mayor RQ
Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon—On October 17, 2024, Northern Bukidnon State College President Dr. Christie Jean Villanueva-Ganiera paid a courtesy call to Hon. Rogelio “RQ” N. Quiño, the mayor of Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. This meeting aimed to strengthen the collaboration between the college and the municipal government and discuss future initiatives that benefit the community.
Dr. Ganiera highlighted the college’s commitment to community engagement and educational excellence during the visit. She expressed her excitement about partnering with the local government to enhance educational opportunities and support initiatives that benefit our students and the residents of Manolo Fortich. Dr. Ganiera additionally proposed a significant initiative to adopt a barangay in Manolo Fortich, classified as a geographically isolated and disadvantaged area (GIDAS), as an extension program of the college.
Mayor RQ welcomed the president and expressed appreciation for the college’s efforts to promote higher education and professional development within the community. He stated that the collaboration between NBSC and the municipal government is crucial in addressing the needs of our citizens and fostering a vibrant community.
The discussion included various topics, such as potential partnerships in infrastructure development, community service projects, and educational programs that aim to uplift residents.
